Las Vegas, NV
Thank you Las Vegas

VEGAS BABY!!! Two words that fondly describe the culture of the city and the excitement Geek Squad Summer Academy has for hosting our FIRST camp in this market. Day 1 we were invited as guests on FOX 5 Live Morning Show. Shortly after, we got a visit from Channel 8 Now to do a spot on the evening news. We had Instructors that wanted to travel with us to do some last minute recruiting and future Junior Agents showing up on set-up day just to try and help with anything they could. Las Vegas was just as excited to have GSSA as we were to be there.

We couldn’t have picked a better partner than the Andre Agassi Boys & Girls Club. As you may have guessed, this particular branch specializes in tennis excellence and is host to one of the best junior tennis players in the country. This is a partner that is already use to having fun while being the best. Our primary contact was Betsy VanDeusen who led a magnificent staff of Club volunteers to help us pull off a camp just as hot as the Nevada deserts. With the awesome job they do year round, the Junior Agents were prime for the party Geek Squad Summer Academy brought. They were LOUD, Excited, and ready to dig into whatever Geek Squad Summer Academy had for them.

With a totally new market brings a completely fresh batch of Agents and Blue Shirts for Geek Squad Summer Academy to get completely and totally hooked on it’s culture. Some had heard of Summer Academy from workers in other areas, most knew nothing but what the emails described. They were ready for anything and prepared for nothing. By the end of the week, most of them were trying to plan road trips to go to the next Summer Academy in the nearest location... Instructors & Helpers, consider yourselves hooked. By the time the truck was loaded and ready to ship, there wasn’t a person in the building that wouldn’t do another week of Summer Academy. With word of mouth and media coverage, we left behind us a plethora of remorseful kids that had passed on the opportunity to join Summer Academy. Hopefully they will have the opportunity to rectify that next year. THANK YOU LAS VEGAS!!!
