Our first Summer Academy in Colorado kicked off with a warm, mile-high welcome from the Girl Scouts and Denver University. Junior Agents from all over Colorado came together with our local In5+RuC+oRs and H.E.L.P.eRs to make understanding technology cool. Our amazing (and loud!) LOLCats, Digital Divas, Geek Girls & the MegaPixels groups learned about sharing and competition this past week.
From creating and playing Garageband tracks in Digital Music with a keyboard and Bass guitar, to the teamwork needed to set new records in the PC Basics speedbuild session, everyone had fun! But none more than Digital Video with wacky commercials, and Internet Communications, who learned what *NOT* to do online.
We would like to thank Denver University for being such a great host, and the Girl Scouts who partnered to make this possible. We also have to thank the Junior Agents who destroyed a 6-story, 2 block wide Digital Scavenger Hunt and fought an endless amount of stairs daily with a smile! I know we had a blast in Denver, thanks for being there!
