Geek Squad Summer Academy in Boston, Massachusetts kicked off the week on a high note (as in temperature that is)! Despite record setting temperatures theIn5+RuC+oRs and H.E.L.P.eRs came together this week with TechBoston to host this year's summer academy at Lilla G Frederick Middle School. It was the guys versus the girls this week with tying numbers in the PC Basic's speed build competition. Every one came out winners at this patriotic location close to the July 4th weekend, we enjoyed the fireworks!
In this year's favorite class, Digital Music, Junior Agents learned how to use Garage Band to create their own songs on MacBook Pros. Thanks to guitar solos and Disc Jockeying displays from the In5+RuC+oRs, Junior Agents had a blast! The camp got attention of representatives from Senator Kerry and Senator Brown whom got to check out the action as well. The kids in Internet Communications, despite some technical difficulties, had fun learning about online safety using Google, Pictionary and more websites exploring Web 2.0.
Digital Video recorded the COOL fun everybody had, and we are thankful for the chance to come back and spread the techKNOWLEDGEy to our friends once again! Until next year Junior Agents are officially empowered to offer their assistance to n00bs everywhere. Thanks again to TechBoston, all the In5+RuC+oRs and this week's H.E.L.P.eRs whom camp would not be possible without!
